Rules & Conditions

Group Lessons

Each group lesson last for 15 minutes. Please make sure you are on time. Unfortunately if a lesson is missed it cannot be re-scheduled.

Parents/Guardians

Parents/Guardians must be in attendance at all times in case of injury, equipment issues or bathroom breaks.

Parents may go on the ice but it is not required.  A parent going on the ice must sign a waiver  form. If both parents are going on the ice, both signatures are required. We are not liable.

Skates

Proper skates are a must if your child is to enjoy skating. Skates should fit properly, have a strong and sturdy boot and blades that can be sharpened (aluminum blades cannot be sharpened).  Blades should be kept sharp. New skates require sharpening before use as they are not sharpened at the factory.

On The Ice

Chewing gum, candies or treats and hot beverages are not allowed while on the ice. Please ensure your child is not participating in horse play during practice time, as this can result in injury, especially to young skaters who are just learning.

Equipment

Helmets with cages for all children are a requirement. Warm clothing should be worn. (NOTE: Snowsuits can be bulky and restrict movement.) Scarves are not recommended.

Children must wear helmets and mitts at all times.

Have FUN!

If your child does not want to stay on the ice for the full hour, do not force them. Beginners tire easily – let them enjoy the experience.
